Mrs. Delaney

Hello families of Ethan A. Chase Middle School!  My name is Mrs. Delaney and I am a Special Education Teacher for the sixth grade students.  Teaching is the best job in the world!  I love watching my students grow and develop a lifelong process towards knowledge and growth socially, emotionally and academically.  The 2020-21 school year will begin my sixth year teaching at EACMS.  I am grateful to be able to provide specialized academic instruction in the learning center, special day math and science classes, as well as offer co-teaching in the general education math class.  I have been blessed to work alongside an amazing instructional assistant also recognized as EACMS Employee of the Year for 2020, Mrs. Plascencia for the past five years.  Together we make every effort to support all students towards success as they experience their first year in middle school. 

My own educational background is I have a credential in Special Education for mild to moderate disabilities.  I received a Master's degree of Education: Digital Teaching and Learning at Azusa Pacific University.  With this degree I am able to expose and better support my students with their own growth in technology,  as they enter our middle school that has 1:1 access with Chromebooks in every classroom and at home.
